Weekly “Pearls of Wisdom” will be a fun or insightful section posting the insight that only comes with age and doing. Just an FYI, insight also comes with failure, we often hear people say “hindsight is always 20/20” while the saying has some truth in it, I don’t believe for one minute hindsight is “always” 20/20. That being said the “Pearls of Wisdom” I will be posting in this section come from living and learning and sharing what I’ve learned from looking in the rear view mirror.

One great example of this happened during the spring this year when we planted our garden and I planted my sunflowers. My husband and I planned this together and planting the sunflowers this year yielded groupings of sunflowers facing the fence instead of the yard.
I know….. Lessons learned, right! The upside is our very nice neighbors can see them from their yard since they have grown to be 9 to 11 feet tall, again… I know… This “Pearls of Wisdom” section will be dedicated to sharing life lessons. In this instance when I plant them next year I will go right back to where I planted them last year which was perfect, in the four corners of the center planter in the center of the yard. This way you can see them from all areas of the yard and the fence does not block the sun from the East.

This photo is taken standing up against the fence. All of the Sunflowers in the backyard semi-circle are facing the fence. The neighbors to the South enjoyed them since they grew to be 14+ feet tall.
